The extra card flap internal allows me to keep my plastic away from the screen, avoiding the card scratch mark that develops over time when the cards are in contact with the screen. This is a great wallet case for my phone. I had one for my s9+, my s21 ultra and now for my s24 ultra. When I find a quality product, I return my business as needed.
